Lisa Kramer founded Prairie Engineers of Illinois, P.C. in 2010. She has over twenty years of experience focusing on water resources and local government services. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993.
Throughout her career, Lisa has been active in professional organizations. She was named the Young Engineer of the Year by the Capital Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers in 2005, and Outstanding Engineer of the Year by the Capital Chapter in 2016. She has served as president and scholarship committee chairperson of the Capital Chapter of ISPE. She’s also an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Works Association, and the Society of American Military Engineers.
Lisa and her husband, Darren Forgy, have worked side by side for almost 20 years. They have a son and a daughter and live within walking distance of the Columbia, IL office. Lisa enjoys spending time with her children, traveling to sites far and near, and learning more about the unique small towns across the Midwest.
