As part of the construction of a perimeter road at Southern Illinois Airport in Murphysboro, Illinois, Prairie Engineers completed a drainage study to alleviate flooding within and downstream of the airport. The study considered existing and future conditions to develop stormwater conveyance and detention sizing to reduce floodwater overtopping of existing roadways. Culverts for the new roadway were designed as part of this project.
This project was completed as a subconsultant to Hanson Professional Services Inc. for the Southern Illinois Airport.
