Caroline Epperly joined Prairie Engineers in 2022 as a Senior Structural Engineer and Project Manager. Caroline has over 30 years in the structural bridge design industry. Her experience includes, preliminary through final design and construction of road/highway/pedestrian steel and concrete beam bridges as well as horizontally curved steel plate girder bridges, designing retaining walls, culverts and three-sided structures, rehabilitation and repair of existing highway and railroad bridges, specification writing, proposals, cost estimating and quality assurance/peer review of bridge calculations and plans. She has experience in Missouri. Illinois and Iowa DOT bridge design and is familiar with their online bridge design manuals, programs and specifications.
Caroline graduated from University of Missouri - Rolla with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering-structures emphasis, in 1990. She is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Texas.
She is a widow with three adult children, all engineers, in Texas, Georgia and Minnesota and she enjoys traveling to go see each of them. Caroline enjoys running, boating, hiking and anything outdoors as well as reading and visiting new places.
